Hello my name is Pat Campbell and I'm from St. Charles, Mn.
Ropaw's Schipperkes of St. Charles is located in the rolling
hills of Southeastern Minnesota, only 25 miles east of Rochester and 30
miles west of the Mississippi river.
I have known the schipperke breed for over 30 years. Always
wanting a schip of my own, our first pet male joined our family in 1995.With
our children grown and out on their own, my husband Ron and I started
researching the breed, their temperaments , health issues and care needed at
length with well known schipperke breeders in several states.
I had the fever to return to the show ring this time with
schips. During my younger years and encouragement of my father I showed
Holstein dairy cattle both in 4-H and Open shows for Mound Brest Farms.
I also enjoyed showing horses for many years in halter, pleasure and endless
hours spent trail riding. My competitiveness and desire to return to the
show ring was quite obvious to my husband.
To date Ropaws Schipperkes has finished numerous Champions &
placed puppies in many happy homes. Several of our schipperkes have moved on
to different venues. We now have several schips in obedience, therapy work,
rescue work, but don't forget "couch potato". Being that friend that gives
endless, unconditional love is most important.
Breeding a healthy schip with a good temperament, to be one
of your best friends is the main goal of Ropaws schipperkes. Getting those
ribbons, trophies and awards doesn't hold water to patty cakes and those
Kisses I received upon coming home to my schips.
I'd like to extend a big "Thank You" to all that mentored
me.
